Dr. Steven Rosenberg from the National Cancer Institute in Maryland believes that the cure for cancer is in our bodies, not in expensive studies or unapproved treatments. Dr. Rosenberg laid the foundation of immunotherapy 40 years ago, and the therapy went from an obscure treatment to a big part of the national cancer fighting strategy in which millions of dollars are invested every year. The cure hasn’t been discovered yet, but immunotherapy is a promising method.
As Dr. Rosenberg says, it has shown to be a successful method in treatment of leukemia, which indicates that it may be a potential cancer cure.
