‘Why only women are asked about their virginity?’, asks Big B

Ahead of his film, Pink, based on gender equality, Amitabh Bachchan yet again has given a bold statement. A firm supporter of women empowerment, Big B raised an issue and said, “If you are asking a woman about her virginity, you should ask a man about his virginity too. Why there has to be a difference? The thing is when you ask a woman whether she is a virgin or not, normally it is taken as some kind of a wrong doing and it adds a question mark at the end. And when you ask the same question to a man, it adds an exclamation mark like he has done something to be proud of. Why does this happen?”

In the film Pink, he is playing role of a lawyer who questions a woman about her virginity and character. But in real life, he is a big woman supporter. In the statement, he has raised a valid point. Isn’t it?
