What Are We Really Eating? The Food Is Dyed With Chemicals To Look Fresher! (VIDEO)
We often hear stories like fruits and vegetables are painted to look fresher and we hope that that are just stories, but…
Unfortunately, judging by the video that appeared on YouTube everything is true.
In the video we can see vegetables, more specifically peas that is painted, and watermelon in which is injected inside some red chemical in order to get intensely red color and to deceive customers with the look.
The chemical which is presented in the video, erythrosine B, usually is used in the confectionery industry for some types of candies and gels for decorating cakes. That is actually an additive (E 127).
In 1990, American Association for Food (FDA) raised a partial ban on the use of erythrosine because studies have shown that excessive consumption of erythrosine tested on mice, was causing cancer.
